Your help makes a difference
The Humane Society of Greater Miami has been helping homeless animals in Miami-Dade County since 1936. With the support of local people and corporations, we are helping to create a better community for all. As a private, not-for-profit, charitable animal welfare organization, we rely on the community to help us fulfill our mission of finding a loving home for the dogs and cats in our care and promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs. There are many ways you can help the 400+ dogs and cats we care for every day.

Monthly Giving – Become a Dedicated Companion
The Humane Society of Greater Miami has a special group of friends that does everything they can to help the animals. They are our Dedicated Companions. Like you, they help us save lives.
As a Dedicated Companion, your monthly gift will provide consistent care and support for more than 400 animals that are in our care on a daily basis in our shelter and through our foster care program. When you become a monthly donor, you decide the level of your commitment. Please indicate the amount you want to give each month and we will automatically process your monthly gift via your credit card on the 9th day of each month. Once you made your initial donation on the online form, we’ll handle the rest!
Join our family of donors who are already making an important difference in the lives of homeless pets. We couldn’t fulfill our mission of finding a loving home for every dog and cat in our care and to promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs without your help!

Make A Memorial or Honorary Gift
Make a memorial or tribute gift in honor of an animal or special friend. We’ll send a letter of announcement to the recipient and/or the family in whose memory/honor you are making the donation.

Workplace giving and Matching Gifts
Workplace Giving – Through monthly automatic payroll deductions, your employees can make a donation to our humane society through the comfort and ease of an established program. Donations made through the United Way and the Combined Federal Campaign qualify for a tax deduction as permitted by law.

Does the company you work for offer a matching gift program? Most matching gift programs match contributions dollar for dollar and some may even double the amount of your gift! Check with your employer to see if your company offers a matching gift program.
Planned Giving
Planned giving takes many forms and, in some cases, reduce the amount of taxes you would regularly pay. Planned gifts, which are arranged by you and your financial advisor, include:

Donate A Vehicle
Do you have a car, truck, boat, trailer, motor home or RV that you no longer want or are you buying a new vehicle and need to find a “good home” for your old one? Please consider donating your vehicle to the Humane Society of Greater Miami – lots of homeless pets will be glad you did!

Volunteer
We have many volunteer opportunities which include: dog walking and socializing, cat socializing, toy sorting and distributing, grooming, off-site adoption events, local fundraisers to name a few. Please consider giving your time to help the animals.
