Description
How It Works
- For a $250 enrollment fee, you can add your name to our Priority Match List for the breed or type of animal you’re hoping to adopt.
- When a matching pet becomes available, you’ll be notified first—before the animal is listed for general adoption.
- The enrollment fee is charged per breed you add to your list. If your request is not breed-specific (for example, ‘small dog’ or ‘hypo-allergenic’), it will remain on file but specific breed requests will be given priority.
Benefits of Joining
- Be first in line to meet adoptable pets that match your preferences.
- Stay informed with early notifications so you don’t miss out.
- Support animals in need—your fee provides food, shelter, and medical care for homeless pets while they wait for families.
Important Details
- Enrollment in the Priority Match Program is open to everyone.
- The $250 enrollment fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee an adoption. Our standard adoption counseling process will still apply to ensure the best match for each pet.
- Priority Match enrollment lasts 12 months from the date you join.
- Standard adoption fees still apply when you adopt.
- We’ll reach out to you twice. Please note that you’ll have 48 hours to confirm your interest and finalize the adoption.
Where Do Our Animals Come From?
Most of the pets in our care arrive as strays found in the community, owner surrenders from families who can no longer keep them, or transfers from partner shelters and rescue groups. Each one has their own story, but they all share the same need: a second chance at a loving home.
Why Adopt From a Shelter?
Adopting from a shelter is one of the most responsible and compassionate choices you can make. It helps reduce pet overpopulation, saves lives, and ensures animals receive proper veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter before going home.
Some people believe shelters only have “mutts,” but the truth is, purebred and highly sought-after animals arrive at shelters regularly—from French Bulldogs and Golden Retrievers to Persian cats and everything in between. Demand is often high for these breeds, which is why programs like our Priority Match Program exist to help connect adopters with the pets they’re hoping for.
At the same time, mixed breeds and less common pets often make the best companions. They can be healthier due to genetic diversity, and their unique personalities shine through once they’re in a loving home.
