Community pet support
We Are Here To Help
Sometimes you need a bit of extra help to ensure your pet has a healthy and happy life along your side. Surrendering your pet to a shelter should always be your last resort. With rising rent prices and an overall increase in the cost of living, families throughout the community are experiencing difficulties in their ability to financially care for their animals. In order to help them keep their pets during the toughest of times, we created the Community Pet Support Program and Pantry.
This program helps pet-owners who are struggling to care for their pets by providing them with valuable tools like training, food, supplies, minor financial support, medical care and other pet resources. In addition, we are proud to provide pantry offerings to community cat colony feeders, volunteer trappers, and good Samaritans who are fostering dogs until their owner is located, because we know each of these is a valuable component to a humane, collaborative community!
Community Pet Support Program Application
Our Community Pet Support Program can offer you support through our Pet Pantry for basic supplies and pet food.
Our goal is to provide support to pet owners in need facing financial barriers to essential pet wellness services including short-term boarding needs, behavioral training support, pet supplies, short-term pet food assistance, short-term medication assistance, critical surgeries (non-urgent), spay-neuter, vaccines, and other veterinary services.
To be eligible for this program, applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Program is available as grant funding permits.
Pet Pantry
If you are in need of food or supplies, our Pet Pantry is open to the public daily between 9:00am – 7:00pm at our Soffer and Fine Adoption Center.
Pet owners and community cat care takers can pick up a maximum of two weeks’ worth of supplies at time. Supplies may include wet or dry food, treats, carriers, crates, and leashes. Offerings vary and are based on availability.
We rely on the donations of generous individuals to be able to provide these services. Each item donated off our wish list goes directly to a family in need (or to the other animal lovers mentioned above). If you can give, please consider sending an item from our wish list. If you cannot, please consider sharing our wish list with others.
