The Humane Society of Greater Miami is excited to announce the launch of our new Humane Society of Greater Miami Youth Clubs, a unique and engaging program for children and teens who want to learn more about animals, have fun, and make a difference in their community!

Description

Paw Pals Club (Ages 6-8)

The Paws Pals Club will engage children through fun-filled activities, storytelling, and interactive animal playtime, all designed to nurture empathy and kindness towards our furry friends.

Program schedule: Saturdays from 10:30AM – 12:30PM *unless otherwise noted*

Fee: $75 per session – each session includes all (4) dates listed below:

Session 1: February 22nd, March 22nd, April 19th, May 17th

Session 2: September 13th, October 18th, November 15th, December 14th* (Sunday)

 

Junior Paws Club (Ages 9-11)

Through fun and educational activities at the shelter, participants will create enrichment toys for pets, learn to read animal body language, explore careers in animal welfare, and even help promote shelter pets through creative projects. Each session is designed to inspire compassion, responsibility, and teamwork while giving kids a hands-on opportunity to support shelter animals. Program schedule: Wednesdays from 4:00PM -6:00PM 

Fee: $75 per session – each session includes all (4) dates listed below:

Session 1: February 5th, February 12th, February 19th, February 26th 

Session 2: March 5th, March 12th, March 19th, March 26th

Session 3: April 2nd, April 9th, April 16th, April 23rd

Session 4: May 7th, May 14th, May 21st, May 28th

Teen Club (Ages 12-15) 

For teens passionate about making a real impact, our Teen Club offers a unique blend of leadership development, animal welfare education, and community outreach.

Through hands-on experiences in animal care, training, and shelter operations, members gain valuable skills and insights. Teens meet once a week and can earn up to 10 hours of volunteer time. Each week, students will explore a new topic and contribute to meaningful service projects, empowering them to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and our community. Join us and become a leader in animal advocacy!

Program schedule: Thursdays from 4:00PM -6:00PM

Fee: $75 per session – each session includes all (4) dates listed below:

Session 1: February 6th, February 13th, February 20th, February 27th 

Session 2: March 6th, March 13th, March 20th, March 27th

Session 3: April 3rd, April 10th, April 17th, April 24th

Session 4: May 8th, May 15, May 22nd, May 29th

Max 18 teens per session
