Hundreds
of thousands of dogs and cats are relinquished to animal shelters
across the U.S. each year due to training issues and behaviorial
problems. These animals account for a large percentage of the
pets euthanized in animal shelters. Sadly, most of these behavior
issues could have been corrected with a little patience, time,
and knowledge.
The
Humane Society of Greater Miami has set up the Pet Parent Helpline
to provide pet owners with information and support needed to help
them understand their pet's behavior, and help them solve their
pet's behavior problems or issues. We offer both written and verbal
information on a wide variety of topics including:
Housetraining/Crate
training
Digging/Destructive behavior
Litter box problems
Helping pet adjust to new home
Preparing a pet for a new baby
Cat scratching furniture
Puppy and kitten nipping
Territorial marking
... and MUCH MORE!!!
