The Southeast Florida Spay/Neuter Coalition was formed to reduce the number of pets surrendered to shelters in Southeast Florida by extending animal welfare resources and information using a non-judgmental approach to pet owners who have either not received such services or received services without any long-lasting impact. The program entails promotion and distribution of free services provided by Coalition partner shelters such as free spay/neuter, vaccinations, and preventative care medicine and other resources as needed to pet owners in targeted and underserved communities.

The Coalition is a partnership of six shelters in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties: Palm Beach Animal Care & Control, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Broward County Animal Care & Adoption, Humane Society of Broward County, Miami-Dade Animal Services, and the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
