Affordable Dog Training Brought to you by our friends at All About Paws, Inc. All About Paws, Inc. offers basic obedience classes for dogs and puppies at the Humane Society of Greater Miami/Adopt-A-Pet. Classes are limited so please register today! Trainer Pedro Lanza and his staff at All About Paws, Inc. generously donate their time each Saturday to offer these training classes. Therefore, a large part of your registration fee goes to benefit the homeless animals at the Humane Society. THANK YOU ALL ABOUT PAWS, INC.!!! Classes are held on Saturdays at the Humane Society's Soffer and Fine Adoption Center (16101 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach) and Palmetto Bay Center (17425 SW 97th Avenue). Starting in 2006, classes will no longer be offered in the summer due to the weather. Start Dates for Upcoming Classes: To Be Announced! Classes offered: Puppy class - Puppy classes are FREE!! The classes are for pups 4 months and younger. The classes run for six weeks, and are 30 minute sessions. The dog's age when your classes begin will determine whether you are assigned to the puppy class or the basic dog obedience class. Basic Dog Obedience - Basic Dog Obedience classes are $35.00 for dogs adopted from the Humane Society of Greater Miami/Adopt-A-Pet and $70.00 for dogs not adopted from the Humane Society. Basic dog obedience is for dogs more than 4 months in age. The classes run for six weeks, and are 60 minute sessions. Advanced Dog Obedience - Classes are offered to all for $80.00. Basic obedience classes are required. A few important reminders:   Dogs must have current vaccinations and wear their rabies tags (puppies under 4 months excluded).   We reserve the right to refund your registration fee should the instructor feel that the sessions are inappropriate for your dog.     Dogs must be kept on leash at all times; six-foot nylon leashes are recommended and can be purchased at the Humane Society (Retractable leashes are unacceptable for training classes).     Only two adults per dog are permitted to participate in the class. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed on the premises during the obedience training class.   At the completion of each six week course a certificate will be presented to you and your dog. You must attend at least three puppy classes or five basic dog classes to receive your certificate.
