The Second Chance Fund

The Humane Society of Greater Miami/Adopt-A-Pet has launched the Second Chance Fund, a new opportunity for supporters to donate directly to the care of sick and injured homeless animals that require special veterinary treatment. The Second Chance Fund is a way for the Society to raise money for the sole purpose of giving an otherwise unadoptable animal the chance to heal and to eventually become part of a loving family once again.

The Second Chance Fund will be used to pay for the treatment of animals in our care that need veterinary services such as heartworm and parasite treatment, X-rays and minor orthopedic surgery. The Second Chance Fund gives supporters a way to share their love of animals in a very special way—by helping to nurse a pet back to health and give him a second chance in life.

To make a donation to the Second Chance Fund, please call 305-749-1833 or click here to donate online using our secure server (be sure to write "for Second Chance Fund" in the comments section of the donation page!).
